The Battery Manager, also called Batman by Imeon software developers, is one of the inverter’s system apps which are running in the background, are essential to operation of the inverter and are not configurable. The application is responsible for aggregation of software drivers for various battery models and for making sure that the Imeon solar hybrid inverter handles the battery storage according to its requirements. The products of different battery manufacturers often have diverse cell chemistries, software communication protocols, security measures, and electrical characteristics. Coupling the inverter and battery requires therefore a development of appropriate software and that is why it is not possible to use a random lithium battery with a random inverter.
